Dramatically Lower Chlorine or Bromine Levels

ClearBlue Mineralization Water Treatment (option)

ClearBlue is leading edge water treatment technology for hot tubs and pools, that allows you to dramatically reduce the amount of chlorine or bromine required to keep the hot tub clean. By adding small amounts of copper, silver and zinc to the water, through an integrated diode system, we are able to eliminate most of the algae and bacterial growth in the tub. Allowing chlorine/bromine levels to be dropped from 3 - 6 parts per million down to drinking water levels of 0.5 - 1 part per million.

HOT TUB FAQ

The cost of a hot tub will depend on the size and features, but you can expect a hot tub for two people to cost around $9,000 to $12,000. A hot tub for four or more people is will range from $11,000-$14,000 and an eight-person hot tub will set you back around $13,000 to $22,000.

Hot tubs have many benefits to offer. Some of these benefits include: feeling more relaxed and less stressed, improving your sleep quality, strengthening your immune system, and improving muscle soreness. Hot water therapy is also an amazing way to release tension as the buoyancy of the water releases pressure on your spine and your joints.

A hot tub is heavy and can weigh anywhere from 600-1,200 lbs empty, but over 5,000 lbs when full of water. It is important to take this into account when installing the hot tub and make sure you have a strong, sturdy foundation. In addition, make sure the floor you are installing it on can support the weight of a hot tub.

This depends on the hot tub you select. The most common hot tub size is 8 feet x 8 feet. But there are many options at 7 feet x 7 feet, and then a variety of smaller sizes available also. We often recommend that you select a larger tub if you have the space and even occasionally plan to have more than 3 people in the tub. This extra spa will add to everyone’s enjoyment of the tub!

When it comes to hot tubs, bigger is often better. The most common hot tub size is 8 feet x 8 feet. Though many people choose smaller footprints to fit the space in their yard, or because they only ever plan to use the tub with one other person or alone. We offer all varieties of hot tub sizes, so we will certainly have a great option available for you. If you plan on using the hot tub as a family, then 8 ft x 7 ft will be best suited for you.

There are a few different ways that hot tubs keep the water clean and sanitary. First, most hot tubs filter the water with a mechanical pleated filter before it goes into the unit. Second, many modern hot tubs have ultraviolet (UVC) and Ozone water treatment systems. These are considered active sanitizers, as they are actively killing contaminents in the water. Third, some hot tubs use a mineralization system that creates an environment that algae and bacteria don’t readily grow in, which means you can actually reduce the amount of chlorine in the water from 3 to 6 parts per million to as low as 0.5 to 1 part per million.

The water in your hot tub should be changed approximately every six months. We often recommend doing this in the spring and the fall, to avoid any freezing problems. Most cities have by-laws that require you to put the water down the municipal water drain.  However, properly balanced water with a chlorine content below 3 parts per million should be safe for your grass. Additionally we recommend purchasing a 1/4 horsepower submersible pump to empty your tub. It will take approximately 40 minutes to drain most hot tubs this way, compared to several hours with the drain that the hot tub comes equipped with.

It is a good idea to always have an extra filter on hand so that you can easily change the filter when it becomes dirty. You should rinse your filters every 30 days. Every 60 days you should submerge the filters in filter cleaner overnight to release any biofilms and to deep clean your filter.
